It is fast becoming apparent that neither Republicans nor Democrats are advocating for the millions of innocent people who live in Gaza and will not be able to escape in time before Israel launches its planned ground invasion of the territory.
The Right clearly wants full-scale, scorched-earth war against Palestine while Democrats are a little bit more on the fence. The Biden regime is calling the Gaza crisis a “priority,” but has yet to take a firm stand in telling Israel to show some restraint instead of the current bloodlust.
The Biden regime is not even taking a position on Israel’s recent call for civilians in northern Gaza, the most populated area of the territory, to somehow flee within the next couple days – to where, is the question.
One of the most densely populated areas of the world, Gaza is home to about 2.1 million people who for centuries lived in what is now considered to be Israel as of 1948.
“We have to, we can’t lose sight of the fact that the overwhelming majority of Palestinians had nothing to do with Hamas and Hamas’s appalling attacks and they’re suffering as a result as well,” Biden stated.
(Fact Check: Hamas is an Israeli-U.S. creation.)
Biden’s string-pullers, however, seem to have a much different plan in mind. The Department of State reportedly sent out messages to all U.S. diplomats telling them not to use any kind of “de-escalation” language, but rather to maintain support for a violent response by Israel.
The State Department notices state that U.S. diplomats should avoid using words like “de-escalation” and “ceasefire,” and to never talk about an “end to violence, “end of bloodshed,” or “restoring calm” throughout the region.
This suggests that whoever is in control of the United States, including on both the Right and the Left, really wants war to be the outcome of the Hamas attack. In other words, peace is not an option.
A displacement expert at the United Nations (UN) says she is “horrified” by the Israeli order telling 1.1 million Palestinians to evacuate the northern Gaza Strip in a matter of hours, which is simply impossible.
“Forcible population transfers constitute a crime against humanity, and collective punishment is prohibited under international humanitarian law,” stated Paula Gaviria Betancur, the UN’s special rapporteur on the human rights of internally displaced persons.
“We are horrified at the prospect of an additional one million Palestinians joining the over 423,000 people already forcibly driven from their homes by the violence over the past week. It is inconceivable that more than half of Gaza’s population could traverse an active war zone without devastating humanitarian consequences, particularly while deprived of essential supplies and basic services.”
The Israeli army has also confirmed that its planned ground invasion of Gaza has already begun, but only to supposedly collect the bodies of missing Israelis who were left behind along the border inside the walled territory. They also say they want to deplete Hamas’ anti-tank missile capabilities to prevent further attacks.
That incursion is already said to be over, but next comes the invasion where apparently Israel has no plans of retreating once it completes its mission inside Gaza.
Many residents in northern Gaza have already traveled to southern Gaza and are now huddled for safety inside hospitals, including the Al-Nasser medical complex in Khan Younis.
“There is a very big crowd of people here who have been displaced from their homes, and are here to seek shelter,” reported Tareq Abu Azzoum from on the ground in Gaza. “They don’t have any proper sources of energy, clean water and medical supplies.”
